Reekado Banks got signed to Mavin Records after his entries were selected from over 5000 entries. In an interview, Reekado Banks stated that his brother submitted his songs and communicated with the label on his behalf without his consent.

Reekado Banks released his debut single under Marvin was ‘turn it up’ which was released on 21, February 2014, the song features Tiwa Savage. He was featured on the song ‘Dorrobucci’ alongside Don Jazzy, Korede Bello, Tiwa Savage, Di’Ja, Dr. Sid, and D Prince. The song ‘Dorrobucci’ got him the fame he needed to become a superstar.

After the successful release of Dorrobucci by the Mavin crew, they released three singles: Adaobi, Arise, and Looku Looku.

He released his second single ‘ Katapot ‘ on 13 February 2015, the song was produced by Don Jazzy.
