Adedamola Adefolahon popularly known as Fireboy was conceived on the 5th day of February 1996, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. He is currently 26 years of age. His mother, Mrs. Adefolahan is a vice principal in one of the public secondary schools in Ogun State.
He grew up in Abeokuta and also studied both his primary and secondary education there.
Fireboy DML studied his secondary education at the popular and award-winning Abeokuta Grammar School, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta.
Fireboy DML after completing his secondary education attended the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, where he had a bachelor’s degree in English language.

Fireboy DML while at a tender age in Abeokuta was a member of is church choir team.
He discovered he had a very great talent and love for music while he was in the University, and since then, he had started pursuing his music career.
Few years after Fireboy DML graduated from the university, he was signed by the YBNL boss, Olamide, into the YBNL record label as a means of replacement for the outgoing Adekunle Gold on October 18,18, 2018
The YBNL boss Olamide, took to his Instagram page to announce this after an official deal has been signed with the Afro-singer
Fireboy came into the spotlight in 2019 after the release of his hit song titled Jealous, which he had already sung before in the album YBNL MAFIA FAMILY.
The song was re-produced by the popular music producer, Cracker Mallo while the video was directed and produced by Director K.
Fireboy later released his second banger on the 14th day of June 2019, which was titled “What if I say”.
The song was a romantic and loving song and it was produced by the award-winning music producer, Pheelz.
Fireboy DML released his first debut studio album on November 29, 2019, which he titled Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps.
The album contained 13 tracks which were all written and sang by Fireboy DML without introducing any guest artist.
The song included his first two songs and others which are vibration, one life, need you, scatter, energy, like I do, gbas gbos, omo ologo, high on life, feel, and king.
The album was a very huge success for the afro-beat singer as it had over 6 million streams on Spotify within the first 3 days after it was released and was listed on the Apple iTunes top 19 charts for the most streamed album for months after it was released.
Although, a lot of music specialists made it known that the LTG album which was labeled an afro-life genre was supposed to be labeled as an R&G album.
